My name is Aliza and I am a Fundraising Volunteer at African Development Choices. I am currently a final-year student at Royal Holloway University of London studying Politics and International Relations, and aspire to spread awareness on the importance of human rights and social justice around the world. Hence, it has become a personal goal of mine to use my voice to help create positive change whenever I can. I am proud to be part of a team that I whole-heartedly believe can, and will, empower African communities and leaders to independently manage their local resources and meet their local needs.
I joined ADC primarily because of its unique approach to development. It's three-pronged approach is capable of creating a conducive environment for sustainable development in African countries. The fact that Moses, the founder was born and bred in the types of communities we wish to work in also means that ADC stands out from other development charities. I am a student as SOAS studying African Politics and I look forward to using the knowledge and skills gained from my studies in helping ADC move forward and reach its goals.
My name is Sarah I am currently studying a MSc in development studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies. What inspired me to join ADC is their initiative on reinstalling a foundations for a basic livelihoods into rural communities in Africa. I have researched extensively into childhood and international development, it is these key years where offering as much a potential change shape the mindsets of individuals in underdeveloped communities. ADC has a clear vision of what they want to achieve and I enjoy working alongside likeminded people.
