Project Description

Nyansakia II DOK Primary School is a public primary school for boys and girls located in Kisii County, Kenya. It offers Kenya's standard education system - the 8-4-4 Curriculum Postal address: P.O Box 3, Nyansakia, Majoge Chache, Ogembo, Kisii, Nyanza, Kenya. We have partnered with the school’s Board of Management to build a playground, toilet blocks and community well within school grounds. These facilities will dramatically improve the children's learning environment and quality of life. The school has allocated land for the project and African Development Choices is funding the construction and maintenance of facilities through fundraising. The project will also bring direct benefits to the surrounding community, such as: - Employment opportunities - Upskilling of local labour though free training - A clean water supply from the well - Procurement of local building materials Indirect benefits include happier and healthier children and better academic and extracurricular outcomes. Nyansakia' means 'A place where you can always find the sunshine.' Help us make this school live up to its name.
